Columbus Bike Co-op and ColumBike welcome Terry Law as new Executive Director

March 13, 2019

Columbus Bike Co-op took over day-to-day operations of ColumBike on January 1st 2019 as part of a new partnership between Columbus Park Foundation, Columbus Parks & Recreation Department and ourselves. As part of this new initiative, we are pleased to welcome Terry Law as the new Executive Director for Columbus Bike Co-op and ColumBike. Terry Law recently took over the reins as Executive Director from Dick Boyce, who has been the Executive Director for ColumBike since September 2016. We are thankful for Dick's hard work to keep ColumBike rolling and for his invaluable assistance with the transition.

Terry Law brings with him 40 years of experience as a Store Manager at Walmart, where he most recently managed Columbus' East Side Super Center. He has extensive experience working with community organizations and is especially passionate about Columbus' downtown. The Columbus Bike Co-op Board is confident that Terry's management and retail experience as well as his mechanical skills will be a great asset to both ColumBike and Columbus Bike Co-op.

Terry started work in February and has spent his first month training, meeting with key community partners, and ensuring that the ColumBikes and kiosks are ready for the busy spring/summer season. Terry's retirement from Walmart and move to this Executive Director role is a big change, but he's up for the challenge, saying:

"I am excited to be part of the growth of Columbus. My appointment as Executive Director of Columbus Bicycle Co-op and the ColumBike bike share program allows me the opportunity to work with the City, Non-Profits, Businesses and the Bicycle Community in Columbus. Together we can create a safe bicycling community, increase tourism and help increase one of the many benefits that make Columbus a great place to live, work and visit."

We're looking forward to working together to make ColumBike the best it can be and to continue to grow and develop Columbus Bike Co-op to meet the needs of our community.
