One of the highlights of 2017 for the Columbus Bike Co-op was North Senior Charlie Allen’s senior project bike ride. The North High School student, with the help of his mentor Malachi Henry, organized and executed a bike ride to raise money for our organization in October 2017. On a chilly October day, over 20 riders departed from Henry Chiropractic, while others opted to bring in donations of money, bikes, parts and accessories.
The bike ride brought in $320 of donations plus additional revenue from the sales of the donated bikes and other items. Small not-for-profit organizations like us benefit so much from Senior Projects. We’re fortunate to live in a community where students are encouraged to support good causes like the Bike Co-op.
