VOLUNTEER
The Columbus Bike Co-op depends on Volunteers - we couldn’t run this place without you. There are lots of ways to donate to our work.
DONATE YOUR TIME
We are always looking for people who like bikes and have time to share with us. From an hour a month to working a three hour open shop session - we have lots of opportunities to be a part of the work we do.
Low Time Commitment:

Pick up donated bikes around the area - be on a call list to pick up bikes when offers come in!

Run loads of scrap to Kroots - pretty much any day we are open you can swing by and offer to take scrap!

Come in and spend as much time as you have/want during open shop hours fixing and repairing bikes!
Dedicated Shift Commitment:

Volunteer Bike Mechanic - work on donated bikes and get them ready for sale by fixing and cleaning them up!

Shop Greeter - welcome guests, share with them our different ways to buy or earn a bike, show them the garage space and answer any questions they have. These shifts are for full (3 hours) or half (1.5 hours) sessions during our open shop hours.
Board Member:
We are currently recruiting new Board Members! We have a 'working' board of up to 12 dedicated individuals who meet monthly or bi-monthly. We expect our board members to give 4-5 hours of their time each month by volunteering in the shop, assisting behind the scenes, at events, and/or on committees. Interested? DONATE BIKES AND BIKE GEAR
All the bikes we work with - the ones we fix up to sell and the ones that are set aside for Earn-A-Bike participants - are donated by members of the community. Have a bike you just don’t ride anymore? Outgrow a bike and need a bigger size? Want to change styles? Bring your bikes to us and donate them!
We'll also take any bike gear that you'd like to part with. Bike trailers, racks, baskets and bags are our most sought-after items.
DONATE MONEY
Like all non-profit organizations, we rely on your generous donations to help us keep the doors open and the bikes going out to those that need them.
Our budget is made up of bike sales, grants, and support from donors like you. Donate online or stop by the shop during open hours to make a gift.
